Outside the box.
Physical versus digital. With the rise of digital storefronts, the decline of brick-and-mortar stores, growing game sizes, and more-expensive consoles and storage, the lines in the sand get deeper, and the debates get louder.
It's the age-old question with all media, and with video games, things seem to have ramped up since the launch of the Switch 2. Reports of declining physical game sales have been rampant over the past few years. The cost of digital games is often a factor, too, with even Nintendo charging less for its first-party digital releases, starting with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.

Slippy slope.
Last week's Star Fox announcement left me feeling a little mixed. On the one hand, yay, Star Fox again! On the other, oh, Star Fox 64 again.
Truthfully, I didn't know what to make of the big reveal that Star Fox was really another remake, a reimagining, of Star Fox 64. Maybe it was the fact that I was watching the surprise Direct in a half-shocked daze, minutes before falling asleep, and at the time, it felt like a gap-plug announcement with a vague whiff of "we've got this Fox guy in the big new Super Mario Galaxy Movie, what's the easiest way we can get a game out with his face on the cover?" I was excited, but perhaps a little underwhelmed.

Reigning WWE Champion and video game lover Cody Rhodes has revealed that his love for Zelda landed him in hot water with Nintendo. Well, lukewarm water, perhaps - he got a letter from Nintendo.
Calling it a "cease and desist" in the classic Nintendo style (but also "very kind"), the cause was the pro wrestler's habit of making his entrance to the ring wearing boots bearing the Triforce logo. As noted by IGN, the topic came up on Rhodes' What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast when discussing video games with fellow wrestler Kit Wilson.

You chose wisely.
Indiana Jones is a multi-generational icon, and the weight of developing a new entry in the franchise must be as intimidating as a rolling boulder. He's a character that has permeated every facet of media since he first found the Ark of the Covenant back in 1981.
The impact of his legacy in video games cannot be understated, either. After all, medium-defining icon Lara Croft and her tomb-raiding contemporaries would not exist without Henry Jones Jr. setting the standard. Indy’s own videogame outings have been mixed, with plenty of misfires (I'm looking at you, Staff of Kings) and at least one classic in 1992’s Fate of Atlantis. Now, MachineGames has a (whip) crack at the character, bringing the cinematic storytelling and brutal action it honed with its Wolfenstein cycle, to create a genuine blockbuster of a game.
